1- what's your name, where are you from, and what is / was your role in the scene?

- My name is Patt Whelan aka Patt Attack aka Patt Sematary, some people also call me Tingles. I’m from New York, I lived in Philadelphia for 11 years, now I live in Berlin.  I play guitar in Lamebrains, and bass in Mostly Crude, I design shirts, patches, pins, posters, etc for bands and my brand, Thrillhaus. I make tattoos, and am in all the Tattoo Punks books. Occasionally I will even book a show!

- Mi nombre es Patt Whelan, también conocido como Patt Attack, también conocido como Patt Sematary, algunas personas también me llaman Tingles.
Soy de Nueva York, viví en Filadelfia durante 11 años, ahora vivo en Berlín.
Toco la guitarra en Lamebrains, y bajo en Mostly Crude, diseño camisas, parches, alfileres, carteles, etc. para bandas y mi marca, Thrillhaus.
Hago tatuajes y estoy en todos los libros de Tattoo Punks.
¡De vez en cuando incluso reservaré un espectáculo!

2- since when do you link music to your illustrations?

- Probably since high school when I started making flyers and art for bands.

3- how is the scene of your city and what bands can you recommend from your environment?
3- ¿Cómo es la escena de tu ciudad y qué bandas puedes recomendar de tu entorno?

- The scene in Berlin is huge but very segmented, you could go to 7 shows in 7 days at 7 different venues and never see the same person twice! It makes it very interested, I’m, still discovering new places and bands.  Berlin has more punk bars, record stores, and DIY venues than any other city in the world… I think!

- La escena en Berlín es enorme pero muy segmentada, ¡podrías ir a 7 espectáculos en 7 días en 7 lugares diferentes y nunca ver a la misma persona dos veces!
Lo hace muy interesante, todavía estoy descubriendo nuevos lugares y bandas.
Berlín tiene más bares punk, tiendas de discos y locales de bricolaje que cualquier otra ciudad del mundo ... ¡Creo!

- Some all time faves are… Ramones, Germs, Zero Boys, Marked Men, The Spits, Briefs, Bad Brains, Big Boys, The Freeze, Dillinger 4, Slayer, Geto Boys, Public Enemy, The Ventures, Beach Boys, Metallica, Weird Al Yankovic

- When Raybeez from Warzone died in 1997 they had 2 benefit shows for him at CBGB, I went to both! It was the craziest thing I have ever seen, the place was completely packed and people were going nuts, I remember it was sold out but Roger Miret sold me a stamp in the deli across the street.  It was Agnostic Front, Sick of it All, Madball, Bouncing Souls,H2O, it was the first time Gorilla Biscuits reunited too.

- Cuando Raybeez de Warzone murió en 1997, tuvieron 2 shows de beneficios para él en CBGB, ¡fui a ambos!
Fue lo más loco que he visto en mi vida, el lugar estaba completamente lleno y la gente se estaba volviendo loca, recuerdo que estaba agotado, pero Roger Miret me vendió un sello en la tienda al otro lado de la calle.
Fue Agnostic Front, Sick of it All, Madball, Bouncing Souls, H2O, fue la primera vez que Gorilla Biscuits se reunió también.
