Difícil comenzar una reseña sobre Terveet Kädet con algo que no se sepa de ellos. Bueno, paradójicamente, no demasiada gente les conoce, sino más bien solo los más apegados a la escena punk nórdica y que están más involucrados con el hardcore radical son quienes han sido sus fieles oyentes. También puede darse -su desconocimiento- a que se han sabido mantener firmes en el underground o porque muchos han estado escuchando solamente bandas punk inglesas, españolas o sólo las más conocidas. No está mal tampoco, pero bueno que importa...
Terveet Kädet fue (disueltos oficialmente el 2016) una de las bandas más importantes y legendarias de la escena Hardcore Punk de Finlandia (de echo fue la primera), siendo así la más referente del estilo y sirviendo de influencia para muchísimas bandas alrededor de todo el globo. Se iniciaron en el '80 y ya te imaginas que estaba pasando por sus cabezas en esos años...
Este album, editado en vinilo negro con centro rojo de 7" por Poko Records / Kädet, es una puta obra maestra. Como bien se dice "Es el mejor EP que jamás se haya echo en los países nórdicos". Y vaya que encontrarás cierto esto cuando lo escuches!
El término "Ääretön Joulu" significa Infinita Navidad y la portada muestra un tipo colgando de cabeza con una vela insertada en el culo (En una página leí que se podría referir a la Navidad al estilo Tornio jeje). Son 8 canciones que tienen una potencia inigualable, muy buena grabación y ejecución. Al más puro estilo de la era del Finnish Punk Jardkore! Si bien es cierto, el estilo de Terveet Kädet no es del 100% dbeat, quedarás pasmado cuando escuches esos riffs eskizofrénicos que luego ya los escucharas por ahi con Discharge, pero TK es una banda muy auténtica y todo lo han logrado por sus propios méritos
En fin, este disco es absolutamente recomendable y tambien todo el material de Terveet Kädet. Investiga más sobre ellos si te gustan, no te arrepentirás! HK !
Hace unos 25 años atrás cuando llegó a mis manos una copia en casette de este Single de los ULTRAVIOLENT me sorprendido tanto que lo escuché una y mil veces.
Me acuerdo de tenerlo al fin de un Casette junto a otras bandas, ahi donde apenas cabian unos minutos para completar el espacio libre antes de darlo vuelta o rebobinarlo con un boligrafo para seguir reproduciendolo en mis 40 minutos de Walkman hacia el trabajo.
Hoy muchos años han pasado de la edicion en 1983 de este 7" que contiene 3 temas y aún sigue sorprendiendome como en mi época mas cañera.
Podría animarme a decir que es mi 7" favorito de Hardcore Punk de 1983.
Ruido acelerado y voz rabiosa, donde se personifica por completo todo lo bueno del Punk de principios de los 80.
Hay quienes dices dice que no es un sonido similar al de otras bandas britanicas de ese momento, y que son mas de la vena de "Necros, Die Kreuzen, Siege, The State y algunas otras bandas estadounidenses".
El mejor single editado por Riot City Records , el más buscado y caro en la actualidad. Debido al hecho que en el último tiempo una copia de este single bordea los 100 dólares, éste será re-editado por Static Shock records en una edición de 1000 copias, las primeras 300 son en vinilo rojo.
Los ULTRAVIOLENT grabaron dos Demos y antes de finalizar el año 1983 graban este Simple para luego disolver la banda. El vocalista paso a cantar en otra super banda, ENGLISH DOGS.
En fin, toda esa mierda buena del UK82 que pasa desapercibida como muchos otros discos de la época.

I remember having it at the end of a cassette with other bands, where there was barely room for a few minutes to complete the free space before turning it over or rewinding it with a pen to continue reproducing it in my 40 minutes of Walkman to work.Today many years have passed from the edition in 1983 of this 7 "that contains 3 themes and still continues to amaze me as in my time more radical.
